Summer on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland is not just about sun-soaked beaches—it’s also about giving back to the community through the “Dine, Stay & Play United” initiative. Hosted by the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore (UWLES), this event blends the best of local hospitality with community spirit, supporting vital programs in the area.
What is “Dine, Stay & Play United”?
“Dine, Stay & Play United” is a community-driven event that runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The initiative partners with local restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues across Ocean City and Worcester County. Each participating business pledges to donate a portion of their sales from designated menu items or services to UWLES. Since its inception in 2016, the program has raised over $322,000 for local causes, impacting more than 150,000 residents annually (UWLES) (UWLES).
